NMN (-Nicotinamide mononucleotide) is a molecule found in all living organisms that is naturally formed from B vitamins. NAD+ precursors include NMN and NR. Natural sources of NMN include fruits and vegetables such as broccoli, cabbage, edamame, cucumbers and avocados.

In the blood, NMN seems to be more stable. The advantages of raising NAD levels are similar for both NMN and NR. Looking at research done with NMN and NR, it appears that NMN has greater and more extensive effects than NR. We are currently doing more studies to have a better comparison.

The safety and efficacy of long-term NMN administration have not been determined due to a lack of evidence on human treatments with NMN. Though the number of studies and human trials is increasing with promising results. Recent studies show that taking 250 mg/day NMN orally for 12 weeks in healthy old men was safe, well tolerated, and significantly increased NAD+ and NAD+ associated metabolites in the whole blood.
